Watch: Cloudnine Hospitals is upgrading childcare with frontier tech
The healthcare industry has been among the foremost adopters of frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT) to ensure quality and expand reach. Like many of its peers such as Apollo, Max, Fortis Healthcare and Medanta, Cloudnine Hospitals has been experimenting with these technologies across its chain of 20 hospitals which focus on maternity and childcare.
In an interview with TechCircle on the sidelines of the 7 Digital Dialogues Summit, general manager and head of IT applications and support Narayanan Balasubramanian said that Cloudnine had begun its digital transformation journey four years ago.
He said that the chain had been making use of the cloud to digitise several systems inside the company including enterprise resource planning (ERP), the hospital management system (HMS) and the customer relationship management system (CRM). The aim, he said, was to tap technology to track the progress of a child right from the time a mother is admitted to a hospital to the early years of growth.
