Myntra appoints PepsiCo’s India strategy head as revenue chief
Flipkart-owned fashion e-tailer Myntra said it has appointed soft drink maker PepsiCo’s India strategy head, Mithun Sundar, as revenue chief from June 1.
Sundar, who will report to chief executive Ananth Narayanan, has been with PepsiCo for the past two years and seven months. He will take over from Naresh Krishnaswamy.
In 2016, Sundar got featured in The Economic Times’ ‘40 under 40’ list of Indian business leaders.
Sundar began his career in 2001 as an intern at fast-moving consumer goods firm Procter & Gamble, worked with FMCG company Unilever in marketing and sales, and then had a stint with consulting firm McKinsey & Co. as an associate partner.
Sundar is an engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a post-graduate in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management, US.
Narayanan, chief executive at Myntra and online fashion retailer Jabong, also owned by Flipkart, said, Sundar’s vast experience and expertise in strategy, sales and operations will play an important role in charting the next phase of growth for the company.
