Rentomojo appoints ex-InMobi exec as product head
Online rental company RentoMojo, run by Bangalore-based Edunetwork Pvt. Ltd, has appointed ex-InMobi executive Khushboo Gupta as vice president of product management.
Khushboo, an IIT IIM alumnus, will be responsible for leading the product team and scaling it further to ensure product excellence. She has previously worked with Boston Consulting Group and Deloitte.
"We are now focusing on growth, operational efficiencies, customer experience and proprietary fintech products," Khushboo said on the appointment.
In May this year, the company appointed former ZipDial executive Tina Datta Nayak as vice president, growth marketing.
Prior to that, it appointed Munjal Dhamecha as its chief technology officer. Munjal was previously the CTO of accommodation listing portal Grabhouse.
Rentomojo was founded in November 2014 by IIT Madras graduates Geetansh Bamania and Ajay Nain. It operates in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Pune.
In November 2015, it raised $2 million in pre-Series A funding from Accel Partners and IDG Ventures India.
In July this year, the company raised Rs 33.5 crore ($5 million) from existing investors including Accel Partners and IDG Ventures India.
In a separate appointment, Ankit Rawal, former country manager at InMobi, India, has joined GreedyGame, a native advertising platform for mobile games and apps, as VP – revenue.
In the online furniture rental segment, Furlenco has raised $15 million (Rs 100 crore) in its Series B round of funding led by existing investor Lightbox Ventures along with Axis Capital Partners, a Hong Kong-based venture capital fund recently.
Other players in the online furniture rental sector include Cityfurnish, Rentsher, among others.
FlatFurnish recently raised angel funding from former Jabong CEO Arun Chandra Mohan while WhatsOnRent raised angel funding from CommonFloor.com co-founder Lalit Mangal and other investors in January.
RentOnGo secured angel funding from Snapdeal's former chief product officer Anand Chandrasekaran, GSF India founder Rajesh Sawhney and other angel investors.
