Health-tech firm Idea Bubbles raises funding from Eureka Forbes, others
Bengaluru-based health-tech startup Idea Bubbles Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd has raised $700,000 (Rs 4.5 crore) from early stage funding platform 1Crowd, health and hygiene firm Eureka Forbes Ltd, along with its parent Shapoorji Pallonji & Co Pvt. Ltd.
The company was founded in 2014 by IIT Delhi-IIM Calcutta alumnus and serial entrepreneur Gururaj Potnis. It has developed 'Eureka Forbes Good Health' (EFGH) platform that enables doctors to offer patients tele-consultation services underpinned with several offerings such as digitised medical records, Idea Bubbles said in a statement .
Its twin platform, 'HappiDoc', works with EFGH by providing doctors a curated stream of medical research and case articles, while also facilitating market research for pharma companies and sponsored continuous medical education (CME) programmes.
According to the company, it has over 12,000 patients and 600 doctors on its roster and has completed 1,000 transactions.
"Our vision is to tie-in the 'doctor to patient' and 'industry to doctor' loops seamlessly to deliver an integrated healthcare ecosystem," said Gururaj Potnis, chief executive of Idea Bubbles. Potnis has already started and exited two ventures.
While Eureka Forbes is working with Idea Bubbles on sales, distribution, operations and brand building, 1Crowd is associated with the company on financial strategy and corporate customer acquisition.
"This collaborative effort stands out in the light of our partnership with Eureka Forbes in addition to Idea Bubbles, and the three of us are together aligned to create a healthcare enterprise with a pan-India presence," said Anup Kuruvilla, co-founder of 1Crowd.
In the health-tech segment, Doctor Insta Pvt. Ltd, which provides healthcare consultation through video conferencing, received over $1 million (Rs 6.7 crore) from US-based venture capital firm RoundGlass Partners.
