Exclusive: Analytics startup IQLECT hires ex-Amazon & Flipkart exec Vaibhav Pandey
Analytics startup IQLECT Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd, founded by former Jabong CTO Sachin Sinha, has appointed former Flipkart and Amazon executive Vaibhav Pandey as head of solutions strategy.
Pandey will lead the company's efforts in creating strategic solutions for its real-time data analysis platform, Sinha said. "He will also identify the verticals to target and solutions to create in each of those verticals," he added.
Pandey comes with experience of a four-year stint at Amazon and three years with Flipkart. After completing his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, he joined travel and holiday information portal HolidayIQ as vice president. He has also worked with IBM in the past. Most recently, he was based out of US and was advising startups out of MIT.
Sinha said Pandey has been part of launching and scaling several products and services at Amazon, IBM and Flipkart, where he was one of the early guys. "At Flipkart, Vaibhav played a key role in building categories, systems and teams from scratch to scale and managed P&L and strategic brand and vendor partnerships in US, Europe, China and India," Sinha said.
IQLECT has built a software-converged platform that enables data analytics in real time for businesses. It also offers its analytics platform on cloud as an SaaS product.
The company is backed by US investors including Cadence Design Systems CEO Lip-Bu Tan, former Flextronics CEO Michael Marks and former Flextronics CTO Nicholas Brathwaite as well as Exfinity Ventures, led by former Infosys CFO V Balakrishnan. Ganapathy Subramaniam, venture partner at Walden International, is another investor in the firm.
This is the second high-level hiring the startup has made this year. IQLECT had recently appointed former Dell India president and MD Sameer Garde as head of global alliance, strategy and partnership. An IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta alumnus, Garde had also held positions such as president, South Asia at Philips India and country head of enterprise business at Samsung India. Before becoming Dell India MD, he held positions such as director sales and vice president of global OEM business.
