9App9Apps, an Android app marketplace owned by Chinese e-commerce bellwether Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, is entering the shopping aggregation space in India.

The firm will now offer multiple features on its app for users, along with its existing role as provider of Android apps and games, it said in a statement.

It will offer comparative pricing where users can compare product prices from eight different sellers including Paytm, Flipkart, Myntra, Snapdeal, Jabong, AskmeBazaar, Voonik and Shopclues, it said. It will also aggregate discount and coupon codes.

"9Apps is the first app marketplace to offer these services to users. With these features, we aim to become a one-stop solution for our users and help them shop smart. 9Apps is much more than just a tool to download apps and games. We are on a constant look out for ways to evolve user experience," said Ebrahim Popat, country manager, 9Apps.

It is also offering users a discount worth Rs 50 when they sign up for Amazon via 9Apps. 9Apps, which claims to serve 250 monthly active users (MAUs) globally, also announced a social media contest asking users to share their crazy and funny shopping stories.

9Apps is available in seven languages and covers China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, Vietnam and Middle East and other emerging markets. It supports incremental updates to help users save traffic and increase the speed of product upgrades.
