OnePlus 3 vs LeEco Le Max 2 vs Xiaomi Mi5: Which one is the true flagship killer?
Launched on a virtual space station, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus's third mobile, OnePlus 3, is co-founder Carl Pei's answer to flagship Android smartphones from top brands such as Samsung. Starting June 15, the Graphite variant of the OnePlus 3 will be available exclusively on Amazon.in for Rs 27,999. The Soft Gold variant will hit the market later.
The OnePlus 3 will be pitted against the recently launched LeEco Le Max 2 and the Xiaomi Mi 5, given its price tag.
The new phone has come a long way compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus 2. The OnePlus 3 houses a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) Optic AMOLED display and packs inside the new quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor (up to 2.2 GHz). The company claims that it is 35% faster than the OnePlus 2.
With an anodized aluminium finish, it weighs only 160 g and is 7.3 mm thick. The OnePlus 3 boasts of 6 GB RAM and 64GB of storage. It features an improved, more durable ceramic fingerprint sensor that improves accuracy with increased use. It claims the ability to unlock the device in under 0.3 seconds, even from a sleeping screen.
It offers a clean interface in the Android 6.0.1-based Oxygen OS, and uses only 1.39 GB RAM. For Shutterbugs, the OnePlus 3 sports a 16-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and support for 4K video recording. The OnePlus 3 also includes the new Smile Capture feature, allowing you to take a photo using the front-facing 8 MP camera simply by smiling.
Powered by a non-removable 3000mAh battery, the new phone comes with a Dash Charge adapter alongside, which adds a day of power in only half an hour.
The phone comes with dual nano SIM card support, and buyers in India fans will get a complimentary 12-month subscription to music streaming app Saavn Pro. In addition to that, users will be able to avail 12 months of accidental damage coverage through the 'OnePlus Care app' powered by Servify.
