Talent acquisition platform Kickstart Jobs gets funding from ah! Ventures
Gurgaon-based talent acquisition platform Kickstart Jobs has raised an undisclosed amount of investment in its seed funding round from ah! Ventures, it said in a statement.
Others who participated in the funding round include Vivek Joshi, founder of Wyzen Tech; Mohit Satyanand, chairman of Team Works Art; Amit Banati, president (Asia Pacific) at Kellogg's; and Arun Khanna, president (Asia) at Dun and Bradstreet.
The startup was founded in August 2015 by Samriddhi Malhotra and Abhishek Srivastava. Samriddhi is an XLRI Jamshedpur alumnus while Srivastava is a mechanical engineer from ISM Dhanbad.
The company manages talent acquisition focusing on the blue- and grey-collar workforce. Operational in Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon, the startup claims to have registered 5,000 candidates, enlisted about 3,000 vacancies, conducted more than 2,000 interviews and posted a month-on-month growth of 100% in the number of candidates scheduled for interviews via its platform.
"The growth of service offerings in the sector is lucrative for the existing workforce of over more than 500 million in the blue and grey collar ecosystem of India. And, given the fact that this number is increasing at about 12 million per year, the need to effectively harness these human resources becomes all the more essential," said Harshad Lahoti, CEO of ah! Ventures.
ah! Ventures is closing two more investments within a few weeks, according to the statement.
Last month, Hindi social networking platform ShabdaNagari.in, which is run by Kanpur-based Trident Analytical Solutions Pvt. Ltd, had raised an undisclosed amount in bridge funding from ah! Ventures.
