Healthcare startup Medidaili raises $100K in angel funding

medidailiMedidaili Technologies Pvt Ltd, a medical support service platform that can be accessed through web and app, has received $100,000 in angel funding from a consortium of private investors, including senior executives from IT companies.

The company, which was founded in November 2015, enables users to book and compare prices of diagnostic tests and health check-up packages related to diabetes, cancer, eye care and family health plan, among others.

The funds will be used for developing products, increasing brand presence and tying up with more diagnostic centres, the company said in a statement.

"With new medicines, care technology and curing techniques, the approach towards medical care and diagnostics has changed and needs to be more specific and precise. With Medidaili, our aim is to offer a one-stop platform streamlining the preventive care search process for consumers," said Akshay Hartalkar, co-founder of Medidaili.

The app, which is available on Android and iOS, is currently live in Bangalore and Indore and will go live in Hyderabad and Pune by the end of March.

Prior to launching Medidaili, Hartalkar had co-founded and was CEO of mobile technology platform Orbis Media Technology, while co-founder Manish Dashputre was associated with telecom operator Bharti Airtel's operations in Zambia, according to their LinkedIn profiles.

The past years have seen the rise of healthcare technology companies offering platforms to help customers find doctors, labs and pharmacies through apps and web. Some of them including Practo and Lybrate have attracted significant investor interest.
