Ex-Flipkart exec Ankit Nagori joins Picsdream's board of directors
Flipkart's former chief business officer Ankit Nagori has joined the board of directors of photography-centric online marketplace Picsdream.
In the new role, Nagori will counsel the company in identifying growth opportunities by expanding its marketplace model and successfully monetizing the number of third-party sellers on its platform, as per a company statement.
"His experience and expertise will be invaluable in helping us bring many required innovations to our current marketplace model," said Mahesh Nair, founder and CEO, Picsdream.
In an email response to Techcircle.in, Picsdream said Nagori had not made any investment in the company.
At the time of quitting Flipkart, Nagori had said he was planning to start his own sports venture. He joined Flipkart as a manager in 2010 and was instrumental in introducing new initiatives and building a marketplace model for the company.
Addazz Online Services Pvt Ltd, which runs Picsdream, offers photographers a portal to showcase, share and monetise their work.
In addition to being a marketplace, Picsdream is also a community where creators and photographers can learn and share best practices of their work and add value to it.
