Jabong hires ex-Bharti Airtel exec Deepa Chaddha as HR chief
Jabong has appointed Deepa Chaddha as chief human resource officer, the fashion e-tailer said in a press statement.
Before joining Jabong, Deepa was Bharti Airtel's HR head for its global centre of excellence.
An alumnus of TISS Mumbai, she has also worked with Genpact and Oracle before joining Bharti Airtel.
"A strong human resource leader is pivotal in building a culture of passion, performance and people orientation with complete clarity of role and purpose. With the diverse experience that Deepa brings, her addition to the leadership fold will greatly strengthen Jabong's human capital," said Sanjeev Mohanty, CEO of Jabong.
Jade eServices Pvt Ltd, which runs Jabong in India, competes with Flipkart-owned Myntra and Koovs.com, besides horizontal e-commerce ventures such as Amazon and Snapdeal.
Recently, the company said it registered the highest-ever month-on-month growth of nearly 35 per cent in net revenue for January, which marks its best performing month ever since inception in 2011 .
However, Jabong is struggling to increase revenue and is a money losing proposition for its parent Rocket Internet, an emerging-markets and Europe-focused investment company.
The fashion e-tailer has seen a slew of top management changes in the last six-eight months. Jabong had appointed Ranjan Kant as chief marketplace officer while Kalyan Kumar was roped in as head of merchandise last year. Mohanty was appointed as CEO of Jabong in October.
