Exclusive: Electric bike firm Ampere raises funding from Kris Gopalakrishnan, others

Coimbatore-based electric bike company Ampere Vehicles Pvt Ltd has raised fresh funding from a group of angel investors, as it seeks to break out in an industry that has vast potential but has struggled to gain significant traction in India.

Infosys co-founder and former CEO Kris Gopalakrishnan, among other investors, put in roughly $1.2 million (Rs 8 crore) in Ampere, people privy to the development told Techcircle.in.
