Healers At Home gets angel funding from Fortis president, others
Delhi-based home healthcare service startup Healers At Home Ltd has raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding from a clutch of investors including Fortis Healthcare's president Daljit Singh.
ISB founder Pramath Raj Sinha, Nasscom chairman and Hyderabad Angels director BVR Mohan Reddy also participated in this round along with a few more angel investors, a company statement said.
The capital raised would be utilsed to expand the team, add more services and marketing of the services.
Founded in 2014 by Kshitij Garg, the startup was first accelerated by 91Springboard. It currently provides customers yoga and physiotherapy services at their homes in Delhi-NCR.
"The plan is to become the market leader in the current set of services and introduce nursing in the near future," said Garg.
"Healers At Home is on the cusp of carving out a niche for themselves in the home healthcare and wellness space. I am excited that its dedication and passion is matched by its strong execution capability," said Singh.
Before founding Healers At Home, Kshitij Garg, an IIT Kanpur alumnus, had worked at 9.9 Media, National Social Entrepreneurship Forum, Panoramic Dreamz Pvt Ltd, PBOPlus and others.
In the home based healthcare services space, Mumbai-based Care24 recently secured about $350,000 in a funding round from India Quotient.
In September, Health Vista India Pvt Ltd, that runs home healthcare company Portea Medical, raised $37.5 million (Rs 247 crore) in a Series B round of funding led by existing investor Accel Partners.
Noida-based home healthcare services provider Health Care At Home India (HCAH India), a joint venture between the Burman family (the promoters of Dabur) and founder of UK-based Health Care At Home, is another startup in this space, which has been looking at raising funds to fuel its expansion plans.
