Israeli firm AppsFlyer hires InMobi's Trisal as India head
Israel-based AppsFlyer Ltd, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for marketing apps, has appointed Sanjay Trisal as country manager for India.
Trisal joins AppsFlyer from Bangalore-based mobile advertising platform InMobi where he was head of sales for Latin America. Trisal has 15 years of experience in sales, business development and people management across industries like IT hardware, software, telecom, mobile ad-tech and internet.
AppsFlyer said in a press release that Trisal would be responsible for building the company's business in India across all verticals and domains.
The company's Indian operations are based out of Bangalore. The company plans to hire for key roles in sales, marketing, customer success and technical support for its Indian operations.
Trisal said he is bullish about the Indian market in view of the government's Digital India programme and emphasis on universal access to mobile connectivity as well as growth in the e-commerce sector.
Founded in 2011 by Oren Kaniel and Reshef Mann, AppsFlyer is a mobile advertising attribution and analytics platform that enables app marketers, brands and ad agencies to optimize their marketing spend by measuring their campaigns on its integrated mobile ad networks.
AppsFlyer claims to measure $1 billion in annual mobile ad spend and 300 million mobile app installs every month. The company counts The Wall Street Journal, L'Oreal, Baidu, Samsung, MTV, Mail.Ru and Hipmunk among customers. It also counts Facebook, Yahoo, Twitter and Bing among its 1,400 platform integration partners.
Besides India and Israel, the company has operations in the US, China, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. AppsFlyer has till date raised $28 million in external funding and is backed by Magma Venture Partners, Pitango Venture Capital and Fidelity Growth Partner, Europe. Its global competitors include the US-based companies Apsalar and Tune.
