Snapdeal elevates Amit Maheshwari as Exclusively.com's CEO

E-commerce major Snapdeal on Tuesday said it has elevated Amit Maheshwari as the Chief Executive Officer of the recently acquired online premium fashion destination, Exclusively.com.

Maheshwari was most recently serving as Senior Vice President (Fashion) at Snapdeal.

He has been instrumental in growing the fashion and lifestyle category into one of the most successful businesses for the city-based firm, Snapdeal said in a statement.

The fashion category on Snapdeal is well on course to become a USD 2 billion business within the current year, it added. Snapdeal had acquired Exclusively in February this year and the appointment is part of its efforts to build the website as India's largest premium fashion destination, the statement said.

"Amit has been a core member of Snapdeal leadership team and the driving force behind the exceptional successes of our fashion business. In this new entrepreneurial role, Amit will be at the helm of Exclusively's growth," Snapdeal co-founder and CEO Kunal Bahl said.

Snapdeal had recently also appointed Animesh Sharma, former Wize Commerce executive, as Chief Technology Officer of Exclusively, while Abhishek Passi, former VP Strategy of Snapdeal, took over as COO.
