Lingerie e-tailer Clovia appoints Pankaj Vermani as CEO, Aditya Chaturvedi as CTO
Delhi-based Purple Panda Fashions Pvt Ltd, which runs online-first lingerie and sleepwear brand Clovia, has strengthened its upper deck by appointing Pankaj Vermani as chief executive officer (CEO) and Aditya Chaturvedi as chief technology officer (CTO).
As part of this move, Neha Kant, the CEO and founder of Clovia, will become chief revenue officer while continuing to be a board member, the company said in a press statement.
In her new role, Kant will be responsible for driving the company's sales and operations across channels and geographies.
Formerly known as Cloe, the startup was founded in 2013. The company was renamed in order to better align the name with its future strategy and product roadmap.
Kant was earlier heading digital marketing at Smile Group's Bestylish.com. Vermani was the CEO of incubator and seed fund Mountain Apollo India, the Indian arm of Zurich-based Mountain Partners AG while Chaturvedi was the CTO of this fund.
Vermani, an alumnus of IIT Delhi, is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded companies like Vriti and Seeknet Technologies in the past.
He will overview strategic direction, product innovation and expansion of Clovia in his role as CEO.
Chaturvedi will be responsible for customer experience on the Clovia website and other social platforms. He will also be responsible for organisation-wide technology and reporting systems, processes, warehouse system integration and automation.
The 32-year old Chaturvedi has been part of core teams at multiple startups such as hCentive, GlobalLogic & 3CLogic and helped them grow many-fold.
Recently, Clovia raised an undisclosed amount in Series A funding from IvyCap Ventures.
In the online lingerie shopping space, Clovia competes with names such as Cilory, HerStyle, PrettySecrets and others. Its most prominent competitor is Zivame, which is backed by IDG Ventures and Indo-US Venture Partners.
