Online assessment firm CoCubes buys educational institutes-focused CRM startup Edcited
Gurgaon-based CoCubes Technologies Pvt Ltd which owns and operates online assessment and campus hiring platform CoCubes.com, has acquired city-based Edcited, which provides enterprise resource planning solutions to schools and colleges, the company said in a statement.
The size of the deal is not disclosed.
Edcited's flagship solution allows integration of management, students and faculty, helping institutions deliver curriculum and real time updates of students to parents.
"This acquisition will help strengthen our technology team. We have been growing at a fast pace and constantly working on making online assessments more scalable and secure. With Edcited on board, we will have access to a very strong technology team and this deal will help us pace our targets faster," said Harpreet Singh Grover, co-founder and CEO of CoCubes.
CoCubes was founded in 2007 by Grover and Vibhore Goyal, alumni of IIT Bombay. It connects colleges to companies. It allows students to learn about enterprises and companies that are hiring at campuses. They can 'follow' companies, similar to the way firms are followed at job networking site LinkedIn and stay updated about news, happenings and internship opportunities at the companies of their choice. Students can also set up profiles with their resumes and share them with the firms.
They can also have access to videos and online test assessment tools of various companies which will allow them to prepare themselves for placements and enhance their chances of employment. They can compare test scores with other students and rate themselves. Students can also participate in polls and view offer letters on the website.
The firm says it is working with over 450 companies and 2,600 colleges. It claims to have facilitated assessment of over 1 million students.
