Huawei launches Honor 4X and Honor 6 Plus phablets in India for Rs 10,499 & Rs 26,499 respectively
Huawei has further expanded its 'Honor' family of devices with the launch of two new phablets in the Indian market. Christened Honor 4X and Honor 6 Plus, the devices sport a 5.5 inch display and run on the Android operating system. Both of them will be available for purchase exclusively on Indian e-commerce major Flipkart.com.
Targeted at the low-end segment of the market, Honor 4X has been priced at Rs 10,499 and will go on sale on March 30, 2015 in the country. In comparison, the Honor 6 Plus will be available sometime next month for a price of Rs 26,499.
Here is a look at the specifications of the devices.
The phablet sports a 5.5 inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display (1280×720 pixels resolution) and runs on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system with Huawei Emotion 3.0 user interface. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and has 2GB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 8GB, which can be further expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.
Honor 4X has a 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash that can record full HD videos (1080p) at 30 fps, and a 5MP front facing camera for video calling that can also record HD videos (720p). Additional features of the camera include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and High Dynamic Range (HDR).
On the connectivity front, the phablet has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G, and 4G LTE, as well as a microUSB port and a microSD card slot. The dimensions of the device are 151.9mm x 77.2mm x 8.7mm and its weight is 170 gm. The company has provided a 3,000 mAh battery in the device, which also has GPS (with A-GPS support) and dual-SIM capability. The phablet is available in white and gold colours.

It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 925 processor and has 3GB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 32GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.
Honor 6 Plus has dual parallel 8MP autofocus rear camera with dual-LED flash that can record full HD videos at 30 fps, and an 8MP front facing camera for video calling that can also record full HD videos. Additional features of the camera include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, and High Dynamic Range (HDR).
On the connectivity front, the phablet has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G, and 4G LTE, as well as a microUSB port and a microSD card slot. The dimensions of the device are 150.5mm x 75.7mm x 7.5mm and its weight is 165 gm. The company has provided a 3,600 mAh battery in the device, which also comes with GPS (with A-GPS support), FM radio, and dual-SIM capability. It will be available in white, black and gold colours.
