ASUS Zenfone C budget smartphone launched for Rs 5,999 in India; ZTE N919D smartphone available for Rs 6,999
ASUS has further expanded its Zenfone series of smartphones in India with the launch of a new device. Christened Zenfone C - ZC451CG, the smartphone sports a 4.5 inch display and runs on the Android operating system. A budget device, it has been priced at Rs 5,999 in the country. The smartphone will be available for purchase online on Flipkart.com, as well as from ASUS's exclusive brick and mortar stores.
In addition, ZTE has also launched a new device in the Indian market called N919D - P865G04. This one sports a slightly bigger 5 inch display and also runs on the Android operating system. It has been priced at Rs 6,999 and will be available for purchase exclusively on eBay.in. As part of a partnership with Reliance Communications, subscribers who purchase the device will get unlimited data free for a period of three months from the telecom operator.

Zenfone C - ZC451CG for Rs 5,999
The smartphone has a 4.5 inch FWVGA capacitive touchscreen display (854x480 pixels resolution) and runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system (with ASUS ZenUI). It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom (Z2520) processor and has 1GB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 8GB that can be further expanded up to 64GB with a microSD card.
It sports a 5 megapixel autofocus rear camera (with PixelMaster technology) with Flash that can also record videos, and a front-facing VGA camera for video calling. Additional features of the camera app include Time Rewind- that snaps even before the shutter button is pressed, and Depth of Field- to create miniature-world effects. On the connectivity front, the smartphone has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and 3G, as well as a microUSB port and a microSD card slot.
The dimensions of the device are 136.5mm x 67mm x 10.9mm and its weight is 149gm. ASUS has provided a 2,100 mAh battery in the smartphone that the company claims will provide up to 29.8 hours of talk time on 3G and up to 260 hours of standby time. The smartphone comes with GPS (with A-GPS support), dual-SIM capability (with dual standby), and is available in charcoal black, pearl white and cherry red colours.
ZTE N919D - P865G04 for Rs 6,999
The smartphone has a 5 inch FWVGA capacitive touchscreen display (480×854 pixels resolution) and runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and has 1GB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 4GB that can be further expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.
It has an 8 megapixel autofocus rear camera with Flash that can also record videos, as well as a front facing VGA camera for video calling. On the connectivity front, it has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, as well as a microUSB port and a microSD card slot.
The dimensions of the device are 143.5mm x 72mm x 10.15mm and its weight is 165.5gm. ZTE has provided a 2,500 mAh battery in the device that it claims will provide up to 9.5 hours of talk time and 350 hours of standby time. The smartphone also comes with FM Radio, dual-SIM capability (GSM+CDMA), and is available in white colour.
