In the nineteenth episode of TC Show Off, a weekly show that provides startups a platform to showcase themselves, their business models, the core USP etc., AutoTranz's co-founders Kunal Dadia and Hardik Sanghavi showcased how the startup aims to be the 'technology provider' for all your automotive needs.

"We found that every car includes a computer that has a lot of information, and we just need to tap this information. This is where our AutoTranz comes into the picture," said Dadia.

"We basically take our product and put it into your car, post which it talks to your car and provides you with all the information that you need from the car," added Sanghavi.

The information offered includes details like how you are driving, and what's the issue with the car- so you cannot be fooled by any service advisor. In addition, in case of an emergency like a car accident, the device detects the situation and alerts the driver's loved ones, as well as connects the driver with emergency response services like 102 (ambulance) and 108 (a 24X7 emergency service for medical, police and fire emergencies). These services are also provided with the car's location, in order to aid them in swiftly reaching the crash site.

Apart from its safety and security features, the product also alerts car owners in case of an attempted theft. According to the company, it has already done 200 installations till date.

Varun Chawla, co-founder, 91 Spring Board, feels that the startup has an interesting product and is going to get a lot of customers if it can get the product right. However, he added that instead of offering four products that have different models, the startup should look at offering just a single all-in-one device, which can then be mass manufactured.

"The other thing that can be helpful as AutoTranz goes out and tries to get traction is that the startup should try to tie up and become an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with at least one manufacturer (like Maruti, Toyota, Honda etc.). This will completely change the game as you are going to the B2C market and an after-market product in the automotive environment usually only becomes niche," said Chawla.
