Textile & apparel maker Raymond opens its own online store

Mumbai-based textile and apparel maker Raymond Ltd has joined the online bandwagon with the launch of its official store called RaymondNext.com.

A one stop e-commerce platform for all Raymond brands and services, the site will have inventory from four of the company's apparel brands including Color Plus, Park Avenue, Raymond and Parx. It will also offer other products from the company like textiles, home furnishing and accessories. Going forward, the company plans to add grooming kits and combo packs on its store.

Customers can search for products by price, colour, size, fitting, occasion, and materials etc. The site will also enable virtual trials of the products for customers. It will enable a graphic view of the apparel and also plans to offer 360 degree viewing angles of models and mannequins wearing the products.

Additional features like concierge service wherein customers can order customised products without visiting the store will also be added in the future. In an attempt to boost its online presence, the company will also offer online only apparel collections.

With online become a popular shopping destination among customers, more and more traditional merchants are taking this route to reach out to them. Earlier this year, another textile manufacturer and retailer Arvind Ltd had launched its online portal. Traditional retail sari brand Nalli Silks also launched a site during the same period.
