Angels 16: Sanjay Parthasarthy

Parthasarthy is building a big data product startup Indix. Prior to this, he has spent 19 years at Microsoft. His last role was corporate VP of the startup business accelerator, a new division created to focus on building startups for Microsoft. Among the other senior positions at Microsoft included corporate VP of the developer & platform evangelism group at Microsoft, regional director of Microsoft south Asia; and runmicrosoft.com and the internet security product unit.

He has a master's degree in engineering from MIT, a master's degree in management from MIT Sloan School of Management and a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Anna University's College of Engineering, Chennai. He is on the executive board of MIT Sloan School.
