Vserv's global marketing & product head Binay Tiwari leaves the firm
Binay Tiwari, global marketing and product head of Mumbai-based mobile advertising exchange Vserv.mobi, has left the company, a company spokesperson confirmed with Techcircle.in.
Tiwari had joined Vserv in August 2011 as general manager (marketplace). He was later promoted as head of global marketing, and then director of global marketing & product.
An MBA in marketing, telecom and e-business from Mumbai-based Welingkar Institute of Management, Tiwari had previously worked in companies including InMobi, Vodafone, Tata Communications Ltd, GE Capital International Services and Mukunda Gems.
The development was first reported by MediaNama.
Founded in January 2010 by Dippak Khurana and Ashay Padwal, Vserv claims that it received 2.4 billion ad requests on a daily basis as of March 31, 2014. In its global territory, India is the biggest market with 27 per cent share, followed by Latin America and the Middle East & Africa. The company has offices in the US, the UK, South Africa, Dubai, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam, besides Mumbai.
The firm recently launched search intent ads enabling marketers to bag customers via in-ad search, besides real time bidding platform on its mobile ad exchange. Previously, it also started enabling advertisers to reward consumers with mobile recharge for engaging with brands.
Vserv.mobi had raised $7 million of funding from IDG Ventures and Epiphany Ventures.
