LG's L-series III smartphones L70 & L90 available online for Rs 14,500 and Rs 17,499 respectively
After being unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 last month, LG Electronics' third generation of L Series smartphones have now gone on sale in India. Although the company has not officially launched the devices in the country, a number of e-commerce sites have listed the devices as of now, with deliveries starting later this week.
While the company had introduced three new models including L40, L70 and L90, only two of them are available for purchase as of now- with no details on the pricing and availability of the third one. In comparison to their predecessors, the devices include enhanced hardware, UX features, and Quick Window smart covers. The L70 and L90 are available for Rs 14,500 and Rs 17,499 respectively.
"The L Series III provides an array of user benefits that extend far beyond a simple upgrade," said Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics. "From the design to the OS to the UX, the L Series III represents the company's commitment to bringing the best smartphone experience. We are confident that the L Series III will be a strong volume driver in 3G markets."

Note that only the dual-SIM versions of the smartphones have been put up on sale as of now. In terms of its pricing, in the under Rs 20,000 range, the smartphones will compete with the likes of HTC Desire 500 (Rs 17,999), Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 (Rs 17,998), Nokia Lumia 720 (Rs 16,999), Sony Xperia L (Rs 14,470), XOLO LT900 (Rs 16,999) and XOLO Play (Rs 14,199), among others.
But we feel the biggest competitor to them will be Motorola's Moto G, which is available exclusively on e-commerce giant Flipkart.com for as low as Rs 12,499 and Rs 13,999 for the 8 and 16GB versions.
