Digital media and e-com group KnowSys ropes in former COO of Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance as CEO

KnowSys Ecom Group, which owns the e-commerce venture Shopuli, has appointed Pawan Verma as its new group CEO. Shopuli is a horizontal online retail venture incubated under the umbrella of KnowSys Ecom Pvt. Ltd, which is a subsidiary company of KnowSys Info India Limited.

Prior to joining KnowSys, Verma was the COO at Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Co Ltd for five years. Before that, he was VP and head, emerging markets at Reliance Life Insurance Company Ltd. He has been working for almost two decades in the insurance industry.

"I look forward to joining KnowSys Group as it promises to be a different experience from my previous postings," said Verma.

Shopuli.com was launched last year and follows a marketplace model. It offers products in multiple categories like electronics, fashion, stationery, home appliances, toys, pets, sports, and wellness etc. The group is also into B2B media publication.
