Infibeam taking cloud platform BuildaBazaar, aimed at bringing offline retailers online, overseas
Hybrid e-commerce platform Infibeam is taking its cloud platform BuildaBazaar , which enables retailers and entrepreneurs interested in e-commerce to add an online channel, overseas and has already signed a few clients in the Middle East, according to a report in Business Standard, quoting a company executive. BuildaBazaar, run by NSI Infinium Global Pvt Ltd which is a part of the group which runs Infibeam.com, comes across as a DIY platform for entrepreneurs and businesses to add an online transaction element to their business.
The BS report said it has signed three clients and another half dozen are in pipeline. The existing clients include a large retailer in UAE, a private mobile virtual network operator who will go live in December and an electronics chain.
'We will expand internationally across 10 nations in 12 months, including Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Africa, Europe and South East Asia," said Vishal Mehta, founder and CEO, Infibeam.
BuildaBazaar claims to have implemented around 18,000 e-commerce stores for various companies to date, including TheMobileStore, Crossword, and VijaySales. Its platform offers all the e-commerce features such as product upload, promotions, accounting, analytics and payment gateway.
The group's consumer facing venture Infibeam.com started as a pure-play ecommerce site but pivoted to a hybrid venture some time back by integrating a marketplace to its site.
