Airwoot appoints Anant Ahuja as creative head
New Delhi-based SaaS startup Memetic Labs Technologies Pvt Ltd, which offers a social media listening and analytics platform called Airwoot, has appointed Anant Ahuja, former junior art director at global ad agency network Saatchi & Saatchi, as creative head and entrepreneur-in-residence (EIR).
"As Airwoot's first EIR, he is responsible for the creative vision and communication design of our brand. This collaboration opens a new creative journey for us to adventure with him into the world of art, and push Airwoot's design to the next level," Airwoot co-founder Saurabh Arora said.
A graduate of Wanganui School of Design in New Zealand, Ahuja is currently a creative project partner at designing firm Animal and a consultant design director at creative outfit Chakraviyuh in India and the UK. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Graphic Design, Illustration & Typography from Universal College of Learning, New Zealand. Earlier, he also worked with Wieden + Kennedy.
Founded in December 2011, Airwoot enables brands to set up a customer support channel on social media, help generate relevant tickets and segregates social chatter into marketing campaigns, praises and spams. To do the same, Airwoot has developed a proprietary semantic engine that uses natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques to funnel actionable conversations from social media in real time. The company was incubated at the Morpheus. In August this year, the firm raised an undisclosed amount in funding led by Kae Capital, with participation from Google India MD Rajan Anandan, Sunil Kalra and Samir Sood.
