Nokia launches phablets Lumia 1320 & 1520, also unveils its first tablet Lumia 2520
Finnish-handset manufacturer Nokia has unveiled a slew of products at an event held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) today. Apart from launching two new Lumia phablets (a first for the company), christened Lumia 1320 and Lumia 1520, the company has also made its foray into the tablet market with Lumia 2520. All of them run on the Windows operating system. Last month, Microsoft had acquired Nokia's mobile handset business for $7.2 billion.
In addition, Nokia has also launched three low-priced devices, which include Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503. While the exact pricing of the devices are not available, in order to make them competitive, the company is planning to price them below Rs 7,000 in India. Here is a look at the specifications of the devices:
The first phablet from the company (or the second one depending on which you consider first- 1320 or 1520), Lumia 1320 sports a 6 inch HD LCD IPS touchscreen display (1280×720 pixel resolution) with 245 ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual core processor, and has 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 8GB that can be further expanded an additional 64GB with a microSD card. In addition, the company is also providing 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage.
The device has a 5 mega pixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash that can record full high-definition videos (1080 pixels) at 30 frames per second and a front-facing VGA camera for video calling. On the connectivity front, the device comes with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G (depending on the region), and it also has a microUSB port. The device measures 164.2 mm x 85.9 mm x 9.8 mm and weighs 220 gm.
It has a 3,400 mAh non-removable battery that the company claims will provide over 21 hours of talk time and 672 hours of stand by time. The device comes with Nokia HERE maps (for navigation), A-GPS and FM radio. It will be available in orange, yellow, black, and white colours.
Big brother of Lumia 1320, this one has a 6 inch full HD LCD IPS touchscreen display (1080×1920 pixel resolution) with 367 ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor, and has 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 32GB that can be further expanded an additional 64GB with a microSD card. The company is also providing 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage.

The camera comes with ZEISS optics, optical image stabilisation (OIS), and 2x lossless zoom. It also has a 1.2 MP front-facing camera for video calling, which can also record HD videos (720p) at 30 fps.

The device measures 162.8 mm x 85.4 mm x 8.7 mm and weighs 209 gm. This basically means that even though it packs a much meaner punch in terms of specifications, it is smaller, thinner, and lighter than its sibling.
It has a 3,400 mAh non-removable battery (with built-in wireless charging) that the company claims will provide over 25 hours of talk time and 768 hours of stand by time. This phablet also comes with Nokia HERE maps (for navigation), A-GPS, FM radio and Near Field Communication (NFC). It will be available in black, white, and yellow colours (no orange).
