Dish TV partners with Ditto TV to launch online streaming app
DTH service provider Dish TV has partnered with Ditto TV, an online streaming portal from the house of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, to roll out an over-the-top streaming app called DishOnline on Android as well as iOS platforms.
The company said the app is currently available only for existing Dish TV subscribers. Users will also able to access DishOnline on laptops and PCs via a web interface, but the details of which haven't been disclosed.
DishTV claims that the app will enable users to watch live TV, movies, TV shows and videos. According to the firm, more than 1,000 Bollywood and Hollywood movies are available on demand.
To access the service, Dish TV subscribers will have to buy DishOnline packs; the Jumbo Pack at Rs 129 (includes all live channels, movies, shows and videos), and the Starter Pack at Rs 49 (includes all movies, shows and videos). Popular TV channels such as Zee TV, Sony, Sab, Zee Cinema, Zee Studio, Zee Cafe, Ten Action, Ten Cricket, Zee News, Aaj Tak, BBC, Sony Mix, Masti, Zee Marathi, Zee Tamil and Zee Telugu are also included in the package.
