Yahoo India's sales strategy chief Chandrabhanu Pattajoshi & monetisation head Vishal Maheshwari quitting
Chandrabhanu Pattajoshi, head of sales strategy at Yahoo India, and Vishal Maheshwari, senior director & head of monetisation at the company, are leaving, according to a MediaNama report. But the exact date/s when the executives will leave the firm and who will replace them cannot be immediately ascertained.
Pattajoshi joined Yahoo India in November 2007. Earlier, he had worked with Radio One as its sales head for one year and also worked at Star TV. He holds a bachelor's degree in Arts & Commerce from Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Pune.
An alumnus of Chetana's RK Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai, Maheshwari joined Yahoo India in March 2001 as its marketing head and general manager (VAS and customer asset management) and held various senior level positions before being promoted to senior director and head of monetisation at the firm. Prior to Yahoo, Maheshwari was the marketing head and general manager (VAS & customer asset management) at BPL Mobile. Previously, he was AVP (brands – SBI card business) at GE SBI Cards. He had also worked at Parke Davis-Warner Lambert and Parle Products.
This is not the first time when a senior level executive at Yahoo India has left the company this year. In February 2013, Yahoo's India and South-east Asia managing director Arun Tadanki quit the company. Recently, the company also did some spring cleansing by shutting down a few of its products, including Yahoo Stars India, Yahoo Axis and Yahoo Browser Plus, among others.
