Analytical app developer Nanobi wins Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge 2013
Bangalore-based Nanobi Data and Analytics Pvt Ltd, a startup which develops analytical solutions for enterprises, has won the Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge 2013, a platform to identify and promote startups operating in the mobile as well as cloud computing verticals.
Delhi-based Threadsol Software Pvt Ltd, which provides cloud-based material planning and optimisation software called intellocut for sewn product industry, won the first runner-up title. Mumbai-based Truetech Solutions Pvt Ltd, which provides cloud-based solutions for education institutions, financial services firms among others, has bagged the second runner-up title for its separate gesture-based technology product.
The winners will receive combined prizes of $70,000 in cash and $2 million worth of non-cash product offerings and business support.
"This year, the Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge saw more startups compete. The variety and quality of startups have been fantastic. We believe that the startup ecosystem in India is well," said Rajnish Menon, director – independent software vendor (ISV) and cloud strategy at Microsoft India.
"We want to use the prize money to achieve our business goals and strategies and to help us go global," said Mahesh Ramakrishnan, CEO and MD at Nanobi Analytics.
