Former Seventymm chief executive Mudit Khosla joins Tradus.com as CEO
Online marketplace Tradus.com has appointed Mudit Khosla as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the company. Khosla joins Tradus.com from e-commerce site Seventymm, where he was the CEO of the company.
"The e-commerce industry has undergone a tremendous transformation over the past few years and is uniquely poised for growth over the next decade. As an online marketplace, Tradus.com has opportunities to tap this potential," said Khosla.
Late last month, Khosla had stepped down as CEO of Seventymm Services Pvt Ltd. He has spent over a decade in the e-commerce industry and has also earlier worked with companies like Yatra Online Pvt Ltd (was part of founding member team and drove various aspects such as the hotels business, payment partnerships, marketing and alliances), Times Internet Limited (business head, e-commerce) and Hindustan Composites Ltd (assistant manager). He holds a MBA degree in marketing from the University of Mumbai and a BE degree in mechanical engineering from Nagpur University.
Tradus.com is an online marketplace where buyers and sellers come together to conduct transactions. The company claims to have over a thousand pre-qualified merchants and offers a variety of products across 50 different categories ranging from gadgets to hand-crafted jewellery. It is part of the ibiboGroup, which operates a portfolio of internet businesses that include travel site Goibibo.com, ibibo Games, mobile browser iBrowser, payments company Payu.in and auto classifieds site Gaadi.com, apart from Tradus.com.
The ibiboGroup was founded by Ashish Kashyap in 2007 and its principal investors are Naspers, a South Africa-based multinational group of media and e-commerce platforms and China's Tencent.
Speaking on the appointment, Kashyap said, "Mudit joins us at a time when we are taking the Tradus platform to a new level and further energising the same."
