Times Business Solutions' CEO steps down, Satyan Gajwani takes over
Debashish Ghosh, CEO at Times Business Solutions Ltd, a wholly owned interactive arm of BCCL group that houses portals including TimesJobs.com and MagicBricks.com, has stepped down from the role. This is the second exit by a TBSL CEO within a year.
Ghosh had been in the Times Group for more than two decades with his last role as director, unified IT & response at The Times of India Group. He joined Times Group in 1996 and also served as CTO of Times Internet from 2005-2007.
Though talk is that Ghosh is set to join ZEE TV, sources close to the development revealed that this is unlikely. The resignation is purely due to personal reasons, the sources said.
Gajwani said he would like to focus on bringing all the businesses in leadership position. "Magicbricks is already there and TimesJobs is already in second position, we have to work to bring it to the top position as well."
Gajwani also revealed that the company will be adding 5-6 new verticals very soon, without giving details.
"Times jobs has the largest revenue potential of all the businesses, so we really want to focus on that product and bring it to the leadership position. Secondly, we want to maintain Magicbricks' leadership position and grow it and lastly launch a few more verticals exploring new segments in the market," Gajwani said.
