Nexus Ventures-backed Aryaka unveils Application Delivery as-a-Service

Nexus Ventures-backed Cloud WAN Optimization as-a-Service provider Aryaka has launched Application Delivery as-a-Service to enable home office workers, mobile users and its customers to access enterprise applications and cloud resources anywhere, anytime.

The California-headquartered Aryaka, which maintains its India operations out of Bangalore, claimed the new Cloud-based solution accelerates Internet application response times by connecting users to the closest Aryaka Points of Presence (POPs) so that they can quickly access applications and critical data.

Aryaka's POSs are located in the US, the UK, India, Brazil, Israel, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe and Australia. The new application also optimises user-to-application requests by redirecting requests to the closest Aryaka POP.

The latest technology solution from Aryaka removes the application performance limitations associated with traditional solutions. The company improves the Internet speeds of enterprise applications without making changes to the applications. The service also reduces the delay that Internet traffic suffers when it crosses long distances.

"Aryaka's Application Delivery as-a-Service enables enterprises to leverage the Cloud and extend the reach of business applications to users outside the bounds of the traditional corporate network. This new solution provides more choices in the market for all services in a simple utility model and with competitive pricing," said Ajit Gupta, founder, president and CEO of Aryaka.

With its solution, Aryaka claims, enterprises can leverage the economics of the public Cloud (SaaS) model with the security of a private network. Earlier this month, the company launched Network-as-a-Service solution to provide enterprises with a reliable network that does more than Multiprotocol Label Switching  (MPLS ) with just Internet links.

Founded in 2008 by Ajit Gupta and Ashwath Nagaraj, Aryaka raised $25 million from InterWest Partners and Presidio Ventures with participation from Nexus Ventures, Trinity Ventures and Mohr Davidow Ventures in July. The company, which counts InMobi, NTT Data, Aruba and Avaya among its key customers, delivers access from all enterprise locations to cloud-based services, such as Amazon Web Services, Office 365 or other SaaS applications hosted worldwide.
