ApnaCircle launches company pages in beta
Indian-origin professional networking site, ApnaCircle has launched company pages in beta mode. The company pages refer to space where companies/organisations can highlight their career opportunities, products and services catalogue, news and announcements.
The company pages will have a slew of features like overview, discussion groups, career and jobs section, etc. Though still struggling to make its place in the professional networking market, which is clearly dominated by Linkedin, with this development, ApnaCircle has surely taken a leap forward. The page has been designed for smooth navigation and puts a lot of focus on interactivity. Videos, pictures and discussions form a major part of the company pages.
Techcircle had caught up with ApnaCircle in May this year, when founder and CEO Yogesh Bansal had stated that they are looking to capture the market of Tier 2 cities. It claimed to have a user base of around 3.6 million and was looking at launching some premium services as alternate revenue channel.
Five-year old ApnaCircle was acquired three years ago by the French firm Viadeo, which had been building a professional network in the non-English speaking part of the world. Viadeo, as a group, claims to have around 45 million members globally of which around eight per cent are in India through ApnaCircle.
