Travel search site Wego unveils new-look deals feature
Singapore-based travel search site Wego.com, which has recently launched Wego India, has unveiled a new-look travel deals feature that lists top travel deals across markets at any given time. The updated feature will be available in English on all its 42 country sites.
In India, Wego has domestic partners such as Snapdeal, Crazeal, Dealsandyou and MyDala.
People looking for deal alerts can sign up for a free newsletter, delivered weekly as part of a priority service to Wego users in selected countries.
Wego's CMO, Dean Wicks, said in a statement, "With a great selection of thousands of travel deals, the new deals site is a complete menu of mouth-watering travel opportunities. Any travel company that has a fabulous deal should get in touch with the Wego deals team."
The deals here are sourced from all markets and for all destinations globally. These are then categorised by product type, (for example, flight, hotel, package, cruise, etc.), budget, destination and also themes (such as beach, escape, weekend, romantic and boutique).
Wego Deals was originally launched as a fully automated travel deals aggregation service, like Google News, but focused on surfacing the best travel deals for flights, hotels, package tours, cruises and more.
"After experimenting with both expert and machine-based approaches, our experience has shown that a thoughtful combination of both algorithmic selection and human judgement is the best approach to curation in a space as fast-moving, subjective and market-specific as travel deals," said Jasmine Lim, Wego's director for product management and partner integration.
