E-learning solutions provider Vriti ropes in former RCom exec Anil Pande as CEO
Intel Capital and Jafco Asia-backed e-learning solutions provider Vriti Infocom has appointed former Reliance Communications executive Anil Pande as its CEO. Earlier, Pande was head – VAS at Reliance Communications, responsible for aligning VAS with IT, telecom and convergence space and driving mobile purchases and customer value management.
An alumnus of IIT Delhi, Pande has more than 33 years of experience in IT, telecom and convergence. He had previously worked with companies such as Wipro, Pertech Computers and BPL.
"Vriti is a leader in tablet-based learning courses and has a large user base for its adaptive online assessment and learning solution. This gives Vriti a strong base for expansion across the Windows and the Android platforms. With its end-to-end expertise in delivering e-learning content, Vriti is uniquely positioned to offer these solutions across B2B, B2C and government user segments and get significant share of this business opportunity. I am glad to be part of the exciting journey and looking forward to working with Vriti's growing enterprise and retail customer base," Pande said in a statement.
"Pande has been a front runner in the mobility space in India and in taking new concepts to market. His experience will be of great value to Vriti as we prepare for our next stage of growth," said Murli Ravi, head of South Asia investments at Jafco Asia.
A couple of weeks ago, Vriti Infocom sold one of its digital media properties Connectindia.in, a site that lets users compare mobile and Internet tariff plans & offers across the country besides related telecom products and services, to a little-known Delhi-based investment firm Spade Financial Services.
