Digital marketing firm Sokrati hires Rahul Kulkarni from Google as chief product officer
Digital marketing and analytics startups Sokrati has roped in former Google executive Rahul Kulkarni as chief product officer (CPO). Kulkarni would be leading Sokrati's current and future product offerings.
Kulkarni was senior product manager at Google, where he managed products like Google Maps and Local, cloud computing, Orkut and Google Finance. Kulkarni has been associated with Google for around five years. Prior to that he was a product engineer as National Instruments Corp in Austin.

His analytical and data-savvy mindset will strengthen our focus and resolve to build the most powerful digital marketing and analytics product suite and drive its adoption globally," said Ashish Mehta, co-founder and CEO of Sokrati.

Founded in 2009 by ex-Amazonians Ashish Mehta, Anubhav Sonthalia and Santosh Gannavarapu, Sokrati has various offerings in paid search, social and display networks and managing brands' digital marketing spends. Sokrati claims to drive over 12 million monthly visits to advertisers by managing over 100 million active ad entities on a real-time basis. It boasts of clientele from e-commerce, travel and finance sectors across India and US. Sokrati is backed by Inventus Capital from whom it raised Series A round funding in March 2011. Prior to that it was bootstrapped by the founders.
