Former Yahoo India exec Namit Pandey joins Ideacts Innovations as CEO
Sequoia Capital India and SVB India Capital Partners funded Ideacts Innovations, which makes software products targeting cyber cafes, has appointed Namit Pandey as it CEO. Till recently, Pandey was director and business head of classified, local search and small business at Yahoo! India.
Set up in 2007 Ideacts also provides alternate internet advertising options to brand managers and advertisers, with its flagship product, iCafe Manager Desktop (erstwhile CLINCK Desktop).
Pandey will be leading the initiative to expand Ideacts' footprint into the mobile Internet space as well as Internet cafes globally.
On joining Ideacts, Pandey said, "Ideacts is in an interesting stage in its evolution, with tremendous growth possibilities to go beyond Cyber cafes and to other markets. It is only organization in this space and has a differentiated business model."
With almost two decades of experience in marketing, he has previously worked with
Monster, The Times of India Group and JobsAhead. He is an alumnus of Times School of Marketing.
