LinkedIn upgrades mobile apps for the Android, iOS platforms

Professional networking site LinkedIn has launched an upgraded version of its mobile applications. The upgraded apps, available on the Android and iOS mobile operating systems, come with a slew of new features and enhancements that include:
Notifications: Users will now get real-time notifications whenever someone likes what they have shared on LinkedIn, views their profile or accepts their invitation, among others.

Company pages: Users can find out which connections work at the companies they are interested in, see recent news and updates from the companies and also learn about current job openings in them.
Jobs and Jobs You May be Interested In (JYMBII): Access to job listings and 'jobs you may be interested in' has also been added directly within the users' mobile update stream.
The apps can be downloaded free of cost here and here.

In addition, the company has also launched its iPad app in several international languages (since 60 per cent of LinkedIn members are based outside the US) including French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Brazilian and Portuguese. The company has also mentioned that a new feature that enables users to edit their profile directly from LinkedIn's mobile apps will also be added soon.
