Airtel launches app to manage accounts of all services via mobile
Telecom service provider of Bharti Enterprises, Airtel, has launched 'my airtel', an app with which the customers across Airtel DTH, fixed line, Internet and mobile can manage all accounts.
The app will enable customers to check outstanding bills, recharge accounts, make payment, activate deactivate any service and raise requests or make complaints. Also, Airtel digital TV customers will be able to order movies and games without any assistance from the customer care. The application can be downloaded by logging on to the website or visiting the device app store. It can also be activated via SMS by sending 'myairtel' to 54321. This service is network-agnostic, which means Airtel DTH or fixed line customers who are not on Airtel network on mobile can also use it. There will be one time SMS charge for authentication to their respective telecom operators.
K Srinivas, President, Consumer Business, Bharti Airtel said, "Data consumption in India has seen a sharp uptake. Today, Indian customers are increasingly accessing online content through cool apps as opposed to the conventional route of logging through browsers. Our 'my airtel' app has been designed to help manage all their Airtel services, effortlessly. The app comes with a smart layer of intelligence that will allow our customers to discover, access and self-manage a slew of services."
