Netmagic, Sanovi join hands to bring Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service for enterprises in India

Netmagic Solutions, an Internet datacentre and managed hosting services provider based in Mumbai, and Bangalore's Sanovi Technologies, a software provider focusing on IT-specific disaster recovery management (DRM), have joined hands to offer Disaster Recovery -as-a-Service (DRaaS) to support business continuity and IT DRM requirements of enterprises.

The DRaaS offering will leverage Sanovi's CloudDRM software and Netmagic's multi-location datacentres and infrastructure management services for end-to-end management of disaster recovery (DR) operations. Customers would be able to deploy their DR infrastructure on physical and/or virtual environment to meet their business requirements. The service also provides built-in data replication, customisable DR SLAs (service level agreements) which are monitored in real time, automated DR drills and tamper-proof audit and compliance reports.

With this joint offering, Netmagic and Sanovi will enable customers to deploy a comprehensive DR strategy without incurring huge upfront investments besides providing assured DR SLAs and reducing business exposure to IT outages in a pay-as-you-grow model. In brief, it is an end-to-end DR solution bundled as a service.

Nitin Mishra, vice-president (product management) of Netmagic, said in a statement, "By offering DR-as-a-service, Netmagic has improved the convenience and affordability of adopting a highly complex process and implement it across the organisation in under a week.

"Sanovi's CloudDRM will help Netmagic scale up to provide the service to a large number of customers in a very secure and transparent manner, with huge operational savings," he added.

The service can be availed by all – customers whose primary datacentres are hosted with Netmagic and also by those who have in-house datacentres or have tied up with other datacentre providers.

Raja Vonna, vice-president (OEM engineering) at Sanovi, said in a statement, "We are excited to partner with Netmagic to offer this automated service and enable organisations with recovery methods with the help of DRM software. Netmagic will provide us access to Cloud services segment and help us reach a large set of datacentre customers in India."
