Homeshop18 ropes in former HT Media exec Rashmi Berry as chief marketing officer
Homeshop18, run by TV18 Home Shopping Network Ltd, a teleshopping and e-commerce firm of the Network18 Group, has appointed former HT Media executive Rashmi Berry as chief marketing officer. In her new role, Berry will be building and establishing the HomeShop18 brand across its business verticals – television, web and mobile.
Till recently, Berry was the business head of HT Content and Syndication Services at HT Media.
Commenting on the appointment, Sundeep Malhotra, CEO and founder of HomeShop18, said in a statement, "Berry's rich marketing background and deep understanding of consumer behaviour will contribute immensely in further consolidating our brand and entrenching us deeper with our continuously expanding consumer base."
An MBA from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, and a graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Berry has over 18 years of experience in branding and marketing across industry verticals.
During her last assignment with HT Media, she had launched the group's radio brand Fever 104 FM and the news portal Hindustantimes.com. Subsequently, she had worked as the business head for Hindustantimes.com, Livehindustan.com & HT Mobile.
Prior to HT Media, Berry had worked with Enterprise Nexus Advertising, Quadra Advisory, India Today Group, Star TV India and Gallup Organization.
Commenting on her new role, Berry said in a statement, "I am extremely excited at the opportunity to further strengthen the HomeShop18 brand, a well-established market leader in the TV home shopping space and one of the fastest growing e-commerce brands, since its launch last year.
