VCCircle is bringing the second edition of State Investment Forum to Kolkata on July 19 at Taj Bengal, which will see more than two dozen speakers from the PE/VC community, as well as entrepreneurs, bankers, CEOs and CFOs, debating and discussing emerging opportunities for investment and entrepreneurship across eastern India.

The forum will seek to highlight the deal pipeline that Kolkata offers for PE/VCs, what the PE industry is looking for in Kolkata entrepreneurs and vice-versa, the sectors where the city has an early-mover advantage, tomorrow's hottest sectors to bet on and how easy or difficult it is for city businesses to access PE/VC funding, etc.

The investment forum will also have a session focused on early-stage investment, where panelists will discuss various nuances of raising funds from angel and VC investors.

The session to be moderated by Sanjay Nath, managing partner, Blume Ventures, will touch upon what do VCs and angel investors look for in a startup before investing and how the region fares in terms of successful investments.

The panelists will comprise of active angel investor Sasha Mirchandani (founder & MD, Kae Capital), Sanjeev Agarwal (MD, Helion Venture Partners), Abhishek Rungta (partner, Seeders Venture Capital) and Madhurima Mukherjee (partner at law firm Luthra & Luthra).
