Cleartrip launches Quickeys for last-minute hotel booking

Online travel booking site Cleartrip has launched Quickeys, a special feature only for last-minute hotel bookings for same-day or next-day check-ins.

According to its official blog, Quickeys is offering a flat 30 per cent discount on these bookings and the service is currently available in as many as 50 cities. It is also available on the smartphone version of Cleartrip. "We didn't think it was enough to bring Quickeys to just our desktop products. So Quickeys instant rooms are available immediately on Cleartrip Mobile," the blog says. What's more, bookings for same-day check-ins can be done as late as you want. In fact, the company site claims that some hotels even accept bookings at 11 pm.

Although the FAQ section says there is no restriction on how long you stay, the booking tab where one has to enter the number of days doesn't scroll further than six nights. You are also entitled to refund on cancellation as per the respective hotel's policy.

Recently, Cleartrip has launched a one-click booking facility called Expressway, which allows a user to store his/her card details in the Cleartrip account in order to speed up the booking process. Expressway has replaced Express Checkout, a similar facility which was previously available only on Cleartrip Mobile.
