Instamedia Creates India Specific Properties; Redesigns Blogs
Shimla-based content network firm which has been focusing on reaching to a global audience Instamedia Network has launched a string of content properties aimed at Indian readers. It has launched four sites (some of which are refreshed version of old products) AutoMotto, CellphoneBeat and Instablogs besides DIYHealth.
Earlier Instablogs, used to be a citizen journalism website, but now it has revamped itself as a portal featuring blogs sections like politics, entertainment, sports, technology, lifestyle and business.
The company says it has a team of in-house editors, researchers and freelancers who will create content for the new India-focused properties.
Instamedia had earlier raised $4 million from the Times of India group's Internet subsidiary Times Internet Limited. Instamedia, which also creates software as a service (SaaS) based content platform Instapress, has raised angel funding from Indiagames founder Vishal Gondal and was part of the of the first batch of incubator The Morpheus.
