Hungama Launches Filmy Games Section On Mid-day.com

Hungama Game Studio (Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd's gaming studio) has launched a 'Filmy Games' section on Mid-day.com, in partnership with MiD DAY Infomedia Ltd. The new section offers a range of casual games and is powered by TheGameBox.com, the Hungama owned gaming portal.

The games are divided into various categories that include featured games, top games, Bollywood games, Hollywood games, Bollywood new games and Hollywood new games. The various types of games available include official movie games (like Kurbaan movie's official game), memory games (Spotlight) and action games, among others.

Users can also select the quality of the game (high, medium and low) depending on the internet connection speeds and once you select a game and start playing it, you can also view additional information like how many times that particular game has been played till now and who holds the highest score for the game.

Last we checked, there were over 40 games available on the site including Bollywood Chef (a very poor copy of Fruit Ninja), Bollywood Police, Awards Ka Knight, Shot Kaboom, Jab We Throw, Bhag-m-Bhag, Dhishoom Dhishoom and Billu's Makeover Salon etc. and games based on Hollywood like 127 Hours, Black Swan, The American, Old Dogs, among others.

As of now, users don't have to register for playing the games and they can simply start by visiting the 'filmy games' sub-section under the 'entertainment' section of the website. Users can choose to either play the games online, or download them on their computers to play offline. Although the download facility is not available for all games and from what we saw, it is only available for the Bollywood based games.
