Yahoo! Now Available In Malayalam
Digital media giant Yahoo! India has partnered with Malayala Manorama, the Malayalam language daily, to offer their audience digital content in Malayalam. The co-branded property malayalam.yahoo.com will offer Malayalam speaking audience local, national and global news across genres of politics, sports, business, governance, utility and entertainment.
Content from Manorama Online from categories such as movies, music and weekend features will also be available.

Together, we bring the latest from the world of news, entertainment and other local interests to a discerning audience."
This partnership takes the number of Indian languages available on Yahoo! India to five. Initially, it was available in Hindi and it was expanded to include regional languages such as Marathi, Bengali and Tamil.
Local language content is gaining traction and becoming an all new segment to compete for digital media companies. Google offers content in 15 Indian languages and recently its online video sharing site YouTube added four more Indian languages to its kitty.
