JustDial Launches JustDial Data, Exclusively For Businesses To Buy Leads

Mumbai-based JustDial, which runs a local business listings site, has introduced JustDial Data where businesses can buy leads.

The website claims to have registered top business players across different segments to translate into business leads. The buyer can also demarcate the leads according to the business type or business name and further select from what all locations is the data required. Another key feature is that the data is given to buyer in a CSV (comma separated variables) format which is easy to import.

The process is pretty simple consisting of four steps. The user has to select what category data he needs and then further segregate it location-wise (state and city). Once the user is through with the selection process in the final page before checkout a peek can be taken at the data. In the "view data" tab the whole of the data is not shown, just a fraction is there, that too with just the name being fully visible.

The leads are then emailed in CSV format to the buyer's email account upon receipt of payment. The data is being charged at Rs 10 per lead and is being levied a service tax of 10.3 per cent.

Another tab called "Consumer Leads" is visible on the page which is not yet live. We wonder if Just Dial is looking to sell consumer data as well and will update you when it's operational on how is it going to play out.

The company, which is backed by SAIF Partners, Tiger Global Management and Sequoia Capital India had few months ago filed its documents for what would be the biggest IPO by an Indian Internet company (more on that here)
