One Year Old Start-up Mobuute Launches Mobile Content Sharing & Back-up Apps
Bangalore based technology start-up, Mobuute Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd, focused on providing mobile solutions has unveiled its Mobuute Technology Platform along with two sets of apps Bute Secure and Bute Share.
Bute Secure: It allows mobile users back up and manage all their contacts (SIM & mobile phone) and calendar events. Contacts and events can be restored to any device. It is compatible with over 2,800 handsets in the market.
Bute Share: This allows users share photo content from their mobile devices with other mobile users and also enables online sharing across social networks at their fingerprints by aggregating all profiles (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, Yahoo) to a single easily manageable account.
We tried Bute Secure on a symbian phone and it took about 15 minutes to back-up close to 900 contacts on the address-book. The look and feel of the app is somewhat crude, but as long as it works that's a minor irritant.
We are told by the company management that as of now what's available for download and use is the demo version that will lapse in 3 months time. Post that users will have to pay a one time download fee of Rs 80 for using the complete version that would come with more features.
Set up in 2010, the company was founded by Mallikarjun Sarvepalli. An engineering degree holder from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Sarvepalli, has a decade of experience in mobile and technology industry. Before founding Mobuute, he has worked with various other companies like Jataayu Software Pvt Ltd, Philips, NDS Pay TV Services, GoldSpot Media Inc.
Sarvepalli told Techcircle that Mobuute has partnered with Aircel, for the distribution of this mobile application platform. In due course, Mubuute will partner with more operators. In addition to this, the company is joining hands with mobile retail outlets for the same.
Mobuute is looking to raise Rs 1.5 crore funding from angel investors.
